Walk and Talk tour of Salford

Wednesday 7-00 pm leave from the Salford Museum and Art Gallery steps directly after the drink reception.

We are delighted that David C. Roberts will lead a walk and talk tour trip to Salford and Manchester on Wednesday evening where delegates will have to opportunity to see and experience some of the magnificent sights, sounds, culture, and history of our cities of Salford and Manchester.

The trip is guaranteed to be both informative and fun!

The route of approximately two miles will give delegates a glimpse of some of the Roman history of the City, its development and transformation from a minor Lancashire town to the powerhouse of the industrial revolution, the site of the worlds first railway station, the site of the battle of Peterloo, post industrial decline, terrorism, and the re-birth of the Cities as centres of sporting, broadcasting and educational excellence.

The tour will finish at approximately 9-00pm and delegates can return to Salford Universtiy by train or Salford Quays by tram, for those who want to, you can remain in Manchester to eat, drink, dance and generally savour some of our eclectic nightlife!

There is no fee for the tour.
