Local Travel

The Salford hotels that we have recommended on the Conference website, are, you will realise, all  located in the Salford Quays area, a highly successful, award winning, regenerated dockland area which includes the newly developed MediaCityUK.

In keeping with the efforts of the conference team to promote sustainability where possible, we are recommending that delegates travel to and from the conference on the ‘Salford Quays Link’. The bus (number 9) travels, every ten minutes, from the Quays to the University Campus and drops off at Salford Crescent Railway Station. The station is in the heart of the University Campus and only a few minutes’ walk to the Mary Seacole Building. The cost of the fare is £1.00 for a one- way ticket or £1.60 for a return.

Details of the bus route can be found here its a big grey and pink bus with The Salford Link on it so you can't miss it!

You are, of course, free to plan your own route to and from the University although we felt that we would recommend the bus service as it is regular and low cost.

Please do contact us if you have any queries or would like to discuss anything in more detail.
